Nob Hill real estate is among the most sought-after property in San Francisco. Originally home to the city’s “Big Four” – Charles Crocker, Leland Stanford, Collis P. Huntington and Mark Hopkins – the exclusive neighborhood still hosts the residences of many of San Francisco’s wealthiest citizens. In addition to its mansions, Nob Hill is also the location of grand hotels such as the Mark Hopkins, Stanford Court and Fairmont, as well as to beautiful Grace Cathedral. Huntington Park, covering an entire city block, was formerly the location of the Collis P. Huntington mansion, which was destroyed in the Great San Francisco Earthquake of 1906.
Nob Hill offers more than pricey real estate and swanky hotels, however. There is an eclectic mix of old and new when it comes to the neighborhood’s shops, restaurants, cafés and nightlife.
The Nob Hill Association website is a great place for more information.
